Late Gift for Comets' fans

The Houston Rockets are this close to finalizing a deal to announce the sale of the Houston Comets to a local (re: Houston) ownership group. I'm confident an announcement will be reached by the end of 2006. (Yes, 2006.)

Since the Houston Rockets are about to begin a homestand, I would not be surprised at all if an announcement occurs at one of those games.

Christmas just passed a few days ago; but, it appears fans of the Houston Comets may be receiving a gift a few days later than they hoped.

    I hope it is worth the wait. Glad to hear the ownership group is local, I just hope it is some heavy hitters that can maintain the franchise and grow the fan base.

    Finally...some news that will put a smile on my face. Hopefully our Comets will stay in Houston. I am still waiting and watching for an official announcement.
