Tick, tock, Comets

Time continues ticking by and no announcement from the Houston Comets about the sale of the team to Hilton Koch.

Supposed dates regarding the announcement have come and gone and nothing has been announced.

January 19 was the latest date for a press conference. Nope.

I'll toss out two more dates:
January 24 and January 31.

Something needs to be done quickly because WNBA teams can begin signing free agents on February 1.

Is there any wonder I spend a lot of my time covering men's and women's college hoops and the Houston Rockets?

    Hang in there, Big Guy. I am sure the shoe will drop eventually. I share your impatience, though, I have to confess.

    Hopefully, it will all be worth it.

    What do you hear about the Comets? Are they actively pursuing free agents? What are they going to do to get better. They were 3-9 against the conference finalists last year. I see the same old sad song next year.
