UH's McIntyre Earns Honor
Houston's Twiggy McIntyre was named the Conference USA Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
McIntyre averaged a team-best 20.7 points per game and went 18-for-18 from the charity stripe as the Cougars (7-9, 1-1 C-USA) wrapped up a stretch of three games in five days.
She ended the week shooting .531 (17-of-32) from the field, and hit 10-of-22 attempted 3-pointers (.455). McIntyre also had 13 rebounds, 11 assists and three steals, while playing 36.3 minutes per game.
This is McIntyre's first C-USA Player of the Week honor.
