Comets Sold?
HOUSTON, TX -- I have been unable to confirm this news; but, I was told the Houston Comets have been sold.
Earlier this week I heard a group of local people were close to reaching a deal to buy the Comets; so, I could assume this group is purchasing the team. However, this news is specualtion without confirmation.
A few weeks ago, I was told the WNBA would run the Comets in 2009.
A decision -- either way -- must be forthcoming because, typically, the WNBA announces its upcoming basketball schedule in December.
