Houston Cougars Announce 2010-2011 Non-Conference Schedule

HOUSTON, TX -- On May 12, Todd Buchanan, the new head coach of the Houston Cougars women's basketball team, briefly mentioned the non-conference schedule for his team for the upcoming 2010 - 2011 season.

Some of the tough teams the Cougars will face include: Georgetown, Nebraska, TCU, Marist, and Louisville.

The lineup of opponents for the Cougars is a challenging one that features 10 teams that played in the postseason last year, including six squads that appeared in the NCAA Tournament. Additionally, eight of the teams on the slate posted at least 22 victories during the 2009-10 campaign.

Today, the Cougars sent a press release "officially" announcing the non-conference schedule.

The highlight of the non-con portion of the schedule is a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, in December, when the Cougars participate in the 2010 Duel in the Desert and play three ball games.
